I decided I wanted to challenge myself to do an animation. Something with a good number of frames and complexity. A human walk cycle seemed perfect. I used this image from “Animation – The Mechanics of Motion” by Chris Webster that I found in a Google search as my reference.
As you can see, I used pink and black to differentiate between the front and back limbs. Here I just wanted to get a feel for the motion, so I did little besides attempt to capture a human-ish form in motion.
When I felt somewhat satisfied with my results, I refined and painted the image. My narcissism knowing no bounds, I of course decided to make it look like me.
